We Now Return...

...to our regularly scheduled programming already in progress.

We thank you for your patience with our lack of posts over the last several months.

After taking some time off, I am happy to be back on my blog. Mommy and Daddy have been very busy and that has limited the time I have for computer play. So much has taken place since I have last posted. Did you know I am walking and talking now? And guess what, I have almost all of my teeth. No, still no baby brother or sister!!! I know what you were thinking when you saw "And Guess What!"

Summer:
Daddy has gone to Basic Training and returned home, mommy taught mothers-day-out; Mommy and I swam as much as we could; We visited Aunt Stacy on several occassions; And took a trip to South Louisiana to visit the Taylor Family.

Fall:
Mommy and I went to South Louisiana to the Washington Parish Fair; We went to see Aunt Stacy and traveled to Canton to shop; Celebrated Halloween at the Fall Festival; Helped the SAINTS get off to their best start in team history (WHO DAT), and cheered for the Bearcats, Tigers, and Bulldogs this football season.

Winter:
Winter brought lots of firsts for me. I remember, and knew, what Christmas was all about; I saw Santa not once, but TWICE; Had a Happy Birthday Jesus Party; Went to South Louisiana and saw lots of Cousin's; Had a Girls-Day-Out with Ava and Caroline James; and Experienced my first SNOW DAY...Can you BELIEVE THAT!!!

Here are just a few pictures from all that you missed:

South Louisiana Trip

A few weeks ago, we went down to South Louisiana to see the Taylor family. We had such a good time. We left on Thursday and made the four hour trip that morning.

When we got there, we meet Aunt Leigh Anne and Cousin Ethan. Ethan spent the afternoon with us. We went to get a snowball and then we went to the beauty salon and I got a hair cut (see previous post). After visiting with the ladies at the shop, we went by to see Gramps (Daddy's Grandpaw). Later that evening, we went to watch Ethan play baseball. I really enjoyed my time at the ball park. We saw lots of people there and lots of kids playing ball...Can't wait until I can play :) After the game, we went back to Nana's house to visit and eat dinner. It was a long day and I was ready for bed.

On Friday, I spent the day with Nana. She took off of school early so mommy and daddy could spend the day in Baton Rouge. They went shopping, bought me something of course, and then went to the LSU baseball game. They said I was too little to go, but maybe next year. I didn't care, because me and Nana had a great time playing that day. I even got to play with Uncle Will, Uncle Steven and Uncle Michael. I must say, they all looked like daddy when they walked in, and I was a little confused for a while.

The next day, we went to the Audubon Zoo. Cousin Ethan and Cousin Lizzie came with us as well. We had a blast. I got to see so many animals. They even had a Dinosaur Exhibit to walk through. I think the Giraffe was my favorite animal. I also got to ride the carousel. We saw a gorilla carrying around a bag on his back. He looked like he was a human. It was such a fun day.

On Sunday, we got up and left early so we could take our time getting home. We stopped to eat in Jackson, Mississippi. We made it back around 3:30 that afternoon and boy was I glad to be home. While I had a fantastic time in South Louisiana, there is no place like home. I was so happy to see everyone, and I can't wait to visit again this summer.

Here are some pictures of the trip:

A New Hair Style

I got another haircut. This time mommy says I have a BOB! I know what you are thinking, my name is Sarah Kate and not Bob, but whatever!!! We went to Bogalusa over Spring Break, more pics from that trip to come, and we visited the Salon that mommy worked at when she lived there. Her friend Mrs. Jane Ann cut my hair because mommy was to scared to do it. Thank God, it was looking a little rough. I got to sit in Mrs. Mullins lap while she cut it. It is the cutest little hair cut ever. It adds a few years to my look. I have noticed a few 2-year-olds checking me out lately. Thank you so much Mrs. Jane Ann. It looks great.

New Swing

If you drive by my house, you will notice a wonderful new addition to our front oak tree. I have a new swing. It is pink and my Nana gave it to me for my birthday. I love it. Daddy hung it from a tree limb in our front yard, and he and mommy take turns pushing me. I like to go real high in it. I foresee lots of days swinging in my new swing this summer.

Easter Pictures

I know it's late, but it's better late than never :) Here are some shots from my first Easter Egg Hunt at the Neal's house. It was such a blast. There were so many kids there. We all had plenty of eggs to choose from. I had so much fun. I even went on a hay ride with Mr. Jody Adams. Mommy, Daddy, Fran and Aunt Stacy went with me. I got to see the Easter Bunny as well. I can't wait until next year when I get to go again. I know there are a lot of pictures, but it was a fun day!!!
