Wake Time

Sarah Kate is enjoying wake time early in the morning. She is playing on her happy hippo mat after her 5:45 a.m. feeding. She is always pleasant after her first feeding. When she was finished playing on her mat, she spent a little time in her bouncy. She has discovered her hands and has learned how to hit the elephant and giraffe that hang down.

She usually will play for about an hour before taking a nap. She usually sleeps well in the morning. By the afternoon, she is usually wired and does not like nap time. We try to get as much acomplished as possible in the morning.

Jeff and Kristy Jennings

My friends Jeff and Kristy came over last night to play with me. Mr. Jeff needed a haircut and Mrs. Kristy just needed a reason to come and see me. We had lots of fun. I was fussy until Mr. Jeff held me. I like him.

Home Sweet Home

Sarah Kate was so excited to be back home in Ruston and to sleep in her own bed. We are delighted to say that she is back on her schedule. She slept very well her first night back. While traveling was fun, it really took its toll on Sarah Kate.

Bumbo

Sarah Kate is enjoying her new Bumbo. She is learning to sit up and to hold her head up on her own. She really likes her Bumbo.

The Big Easy

Sarah Kate made her first trek across the lake this past Sunday to visit her great grandparents Goodie and Paw Paw. While in New Orleans, she had a chance to go shopping at the Lakeside Mall as well as Babies R Us. In between stores, she went to visit Goodie and Paw Paw. They were so excited to see her. It was the first time they had met her. She also met her Uncle Chuck for the first time. It was a long day that included a lot of sleeping in the car. She was well rested after this trip.

After visiting in New Orleans and before going home, she stopped by her Aunt Pam's house in Mandeville. She spent about an hour there and met Uncle Gordon, Aunt Pam and Cousin Wells. After her visit, she was treated to her mommy and daddies favorite place to eat. OUTBACK!!!! It made for a long day, but she slept great after her last feeding at 9:45.

Daddy is going to play golf today before we return home to Ruston on Tuesday. We all look forward to sleeping in our own beds.

Grandchildren

Birthday Cake Time

Uncle Steven let me help him blow out his candles on his birthday cake. That was so much fun. Right before that, we sang happy birthday. Uncle Steven (23 years old) had chocolate chip cake and Uncle Michael (29 years old) had red velvet cake. I really enjoyed this birthday party. I hope I get to have a birthday party one day.

Cousin Ethan's Playroom

Ethan, Nana and Sarah Kate are enjoying play time in Ethan's new house. His house has it's own playroom. How neat. He also had on a really cool spiderman costume. I want one of those.

Birthday Bash

Sarah Kate attended her Uncle Michael and Uncle Steven's birthday party Saturday night. She had a blast. It was her first trip to her cousin Ethan's house and she saw her first moo cow's. She really enjoyed all the attention and thought the food her Aunt Leigh Anne made was great. Okay, maybe that was her mommy and daddy that thought it was great.

Bogalusa

Sarah Kate and Nana are enjoying some time outdoors. Sarah Kate visited her Nana and Papa for the first time this weekend. She is having a good time in Bogalusa. Sleeping has been a little more difficult on the road, but she is making due. She will attend Uncle Steven and Uncle Michael's birthday party tonight at her Aunt Leigh Anne's. She can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!
