New Trick

I have a new trick. I can now stand-up without holding on to anything. It is so much fun. Monday I was sitting down, and all-of-a-sudden, I decided to just stand-up. Luckily I have not had any major falls to this point, but lets not jinks it. Maybe soon I can start walking. Daddy tries to hold my hands and help me walk, but I really don't like that yet. It scares me. I will turn 1 years old next week. Who knows, maybe I will be walking before then.

D-Daddy Retires

D-Daddy is finally retiring. This is his last week as a member of the Temple Baptist Church staff. He will however continue to help drive the bus for the church. Speaking of driving, he is going to work for Mayo Bus Company. He will drive a bus for them. He will still have plenty of time to spend with me now that he is going to be home more. I can't wait for those days. He is going to teach me lots of new words.

The church had a retirement gathering for him after church Sunday night. Here are a few pictures from that night.

Saying Goodbye

My friends Mr. Jeff and Mrs. Kristy Jennings are moving to South Carolina this summer. Mr. Jeff has already moved. Mrs. Kristy is from South Carolina, and will be moving closer to her hometown. I am excited that they are moving closer to her parents, but I will miss them so much. I have had the best time playing with them. We have done so much together. From shopping to eating to just hanging out. I am going to miss them so much. I am going to miss you guys so much and can not wait to come to South Caarolina to visit you. Maybe you will have me a friend to play with by then. I Love You :)

In The Army Now

Daddy has joined the United States Army National Guard. He will be leaving May 20, 2009 to go to Fort Benning, GA for 10 Weeks for Basic Training. It will be just me and mommy all summer long. I am going to miss him so much. He says he is doing it so that it can help our family out in the long run and because he wants to help protect the freedom I live with.

Last month, he had to go to drill in Monroe. It just so happened that it was family day on the weeking of his first drill. Me and mommy went to see him on Sunday and we we able to sit in some of the Army vehicles. We also got to see him line up in formation, we walked through a museum, and we watched a video of what it will be like while daddy is at Basic Training. Doesn't look fun!!! After that, we ate some hamburgers from the grill. We had a great time. Here are a few pictures from the day:

Under the Weather

I have been a little under the weather the last few days. I had a temperature of 102 on Friday so mommy took me to the doctor. The doctor said that I had a virus and that it should only last about a week. My temperature has gone back down over the last few days, but I still feel bad. I have a runny nose and a slight cough.

Poor mommy and daddy have to wake up with me all through the night. Thank God for mommy. She takes great care of me all day and comes to comfort me in the middle of the night while daddy sleeps. He has to go to work, so it is just me and mommy. Daddy did help out by watching me on Saturday so mommy could catch up on some rest. I have the best parents. I just hope that I can get rid of this "Virus" thing so I can feel much better.

Enjoying the Beautiful Weather

We have been so blessed to have such wonderful weather lately. Mommy took some time to take me outside to play in our yard. If you have been to our house, you know we have plenty of room to play. I love having a big yard and can't wait until I can run all around it.

I like playing with the grass

Look, I can blow bubbles out of my mouth!!!

Reading about shoes and socks
And you would know I am not wearing either one :)

What We Do When Daddy Is At Work

I decided to post a few pictures to show you just what we do when daddy goes to work. My Mommy and Fran have such a good time with me. As you can see in these pictures, you never know what we might do.

Here is a picture of me reading my book

What were they thinking?
They put a tree skirt around me like a dress!

I must say, it is a cute skirt!

This is me helping Mommy cook for Daddy!
Yes, you heard me right!
